Would you like broadband with your 4G?
It's a pretty big month for Everything Everywhere. The parent company of Orange and T-Mobile is launching EE, the UK's first 4G LTE network at the end of October after getting the go-ahead from Ofcom this past summer. However, not content with just launching the nation's first 4G service, the company today announced that it's also launching a fibre broadband service, too.
The company says EE Fibre Broadband
will offer speeds up to ten times the UK average with a max download
speed of 76Mbps. Plans will start from £15 per month (40 GB cap) and
off-peak calls and router are included in the price. Unlimited data is
available to those willing to pay £20 or £25 per month, with the latter
availing of 76Mbps speeds. Customers on the £15 per month and £20 per
month plans will be limited to 38Mbps.Those who sign up for EE's 4G service will save £5 a month of the fibre service provided they keep the internet for the duration of their phone plan. Line rental is an additional £14 per month.
If superfast broadband aint your thing, EE's also got some regular broadband packages. Whether you're paying £5, £10, or £15 per month you'll be getting unlimited data, but speeds are limited to up to 14Mbps across all plans. The £5 package includes off-peak calls, the £10 plan includes anytime calls, and the £15 package bundles in anytime mobile.
